Facility Dogs

Facility dogs are specially trained to provide services and behaviors that will suit the needs of different facilities. These dogs are trained to assist many people as opposed to just one person. Some examples are dogs that provide emotional comfort for children in a special needs classroom, or dogs that provide deep pressure therapy to first responders after a stressful encounter.

Though facility dogs can provide services to many people in a facility, they will still need to be assigned a primary handler who will take on the responsibilities of their care.
