Early Edge Enrichment and Breeding Program

At Partners With Paws: Early Edge Enrichment Program, we are dedicated to giving working and service dogs the best possible start—starting as early as 3 days old. As a specialized branch of our Partners With Paws program, this nursery and early enrichment initiative was built for one purpose: to raise the most confident, adaptable, and capable working and pet dogs from the very beginning.

We go beyond breeding—we shape futures.

Our breeding dogs are carefully selected for temperament, health, and proven working ability. But our real work begins with the puppies—before their eyes even open. Every litter is raised in a structured, purposeful environment where early neurological, sensory, and emotional development is the top priority.

From Day 3 – Development That Starts Before They Can See the World

At just 3 days old, we begin our puppy enrichment program with:

  • Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) to build stress tolerance and brain development
  • Early Scent Introduction (ESI) to sharpen olfactory learning and predict temperament
  • Gentle handling

As puppies grow, we expand their learning with:

  • Foundational crate and potty training
  • Sound desensitization and confidence-building
  • Problem solving and cognitive development games- using free shaping and other methods to create puppies who think for themselves and want to solve problems.

Why Our Approach Stands Out

Most programs don’t begin training until puppies are 4–6 months old—after key learning windows have closed. At Partners with Paws Early Enrichment Program our puppies are already:

  • Observing behaviors through imitation
  • Recognizing words and tones
  • Responding to visual and tactile cues
  • Learning self-regulation through structured rest, movement, and massage
  • Socializing in structured litter-based group learning environments

By combining science-backed enrichment, personalized scent profiling, and low-pressure early education, we prepare each puppy to meet the world with confidence and curiosity—not fear.

Whether you're a handler, trainer, organization, or breeder, you can trust that every puppy raised through Partners With Paws: Right Paw Beginnings has been intentionally shaped—physically, mentally, and emotionally—for a future that matters.

We don’t just raise puppies.
We raise partners.

Puppy Head Start Program: Tailored Training, Extended Foundations

For puppies destined for working roles or families who want a jumpstart, our Puppy Head Start Program provides an additional few weeks of foundational training before the puppies go home.

This includes:

  • Basic obedience: sit, down, come, and “with me”
  • Name recognition and leash introduction
  • Crate and potty training reinforcement
  • Auto-sit at thresholds (doors, food bowls, etc.)
  • Sound/surface desensitization
  • Group litter training sessions for real-world social focus and distraction-proof learning

By the time your puppy leaves our nursery, they’re not just adorable—they're calm, confident, focused, and ready to keep learning.

Forever Light in the Sky- Moon

Moon joined our program at just 8 weeks old, and it was immediately clear he was something special. With his calm, laid-back nature, Moon brings a steady and grounding presence wherever he goes. He’s incredibly gentle and composed, making him a natural fit for service work—but don’t let his mellow personality fool you. Moon has a true love for training and takes on every task with focus and enthusiasm.

He will soon be placed as a service dog with a Veteran, where we know he’ll make a life-changing impact. At the same time, we knew we couldn’t let his exceptional temperament and work ethic leave our program entirely. Pending his final OFA clearances, we will be offering frozen semen from this remarkable boy so that his legacy can continue in future generations of service dogs. That being said once all his OFA clearances are in, we will have frozen semen avalible from this amazing boy.

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), which involves applying gentle stressors to young puppies for short periods of time, is thought to improve their stress responses later in life.
